    Performance of Life

    Earth is the stage,
    we move upon
    Night has lifted,
    as curtains drawn
    Lights are bright,
    sun's rays at dawn
    Characters we are,
    acting a theme
    As if rehearsing,
    an unwritten scene
    With applause,
    and a critics voice
    For every act,
    we made a choice
    Performance is over,
    as curtains lowered
    Re-inacting history,
    as we move forward

Philius commented on Performance of Life

I admire all three of your works, but I liked this the most. I think it's a very deep and deeply felt piece that defines the ebb and flow of humanity's time on Earth. Time is fixed, but our lives are fluid.

I meant time is fixed, and so, to an extent, are our lives. My bad.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
