Philippians 4:13

Philippians 4:13

Invisible bands held me tight

Caught in a web I couldn't escape
And dying a slow death which
Nobody seemed to be aware of.

Darkness covered me
On the altar of sacrifice.

And though I knew of His
Love and faithfulness, it did
Little to ease my suffering.

The pain was agonizing and intense
How could I be expected to endure
It, much more smile and
Not become depressed,
God must have a sense of humor.
Sometimes it seemed so unfair... But

Thank God there was something inside me that
He put there, a Seed of power
Ready to be revealed in the right time
Only waiting and growing
Until the time was set.
God created the right time by showing me that
He was in charge and that I had no one to

Call for help but HIM and no one was able to
Help like HIM, so as I learned to submit, He
Released power to summon the courage from
Inside, to not only challenge my fears, but to
Supernaturally press beyond the obstacles
Threatening me and thus experience my total victory!

A good write brother! I feel the statement within growth and humbleness in recognition! The whole of it felt like prose being turned into poem form thus creating jerky movements in spots. wOOt Johnny Appleseed ain't got nuttin on the inspired followers of Christ!

Thanks for the encouragement, Brother. I appreciate it!

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
