Biography

A graduate of the College of New Jersey a BA in History and received a Master's degree at The University of Texas. I am also Viet Nam Veteran. A retired classroom teacher and free lance writer at the present time. Intitially I began writing poetry and have recently started writing children's stories. Several of my poems have been published and the poem "Soldiers" won first place at the Veterans Poetry Competition 2010. The following year I also won first place in the veterans compeition for the poem. My Nurse. I have also won poet of the week on this site for two years in a row for my poems, Set Me Free and the poem Beyond The River.

Happy 2011 to you as well poet friend. Today and tonight I shall be watching college bowl games. Already I have watched a terrific game that Iowa won over Missouri and it was one of the best games I have watched when Iowa won with less than 35 seconds left in the game. Of course, I love bowl games as you can probably understand when you read this msg. Girard aka Mrgee

You did a great job on this one.I liked it. Put together well.
