    Quiet Thoughts

Once in a while a love comes along
Her love is never weak but always so strong
Her eyes seem to light up and shine
    When her eyes meet mine

Her kiss is soft and tender
Like the flakes of fresh fallen snow
Her hands touch mine ever so gently
Knowing that together as one we will go

Our hearts beat slowly as we walk
Our voices speak quietly as we talk
    We talk of our love
While silently thanking God from above

Our lives together we swore we would never part
Even after we said until death do us part
    The joys and happiness
    The troubles and hard times
It was all of ‘ till death do us part’

The good times are over for we soon passed on
One went one year and the other followed soon
Please remember to all that walk and shed no tears
Listen quietly to the wind, it’s us you hear.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
