"The Very Thought of You"

Have I stopped hoping? no, not I; Just the very thought of you makes me sigh, The sound of your voice makes my heart skip a beat the touch of your hand makes me feel the heat! My breath comes in gasps the adrenaline rises, Your smile it a  gift among all prizes; Wishful thinking has brought me here your compassion surrounds me I've nothing to fear. I miss you I do with your beautiful face, while dreaming of lying in your warm embrace.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
