    Reconciled

My life was so full of darkness and hurt,
but you changed it to light.
I had given up on my dreams,
but you restored hope in my life.
My heart was so full of depression and pain,
    but you showed me love.
    Reconciled
You have reunited me and the father.
You restored my life gave me hope.
I know I've been changed for the better.
    Reconciled
I have no need to mope.
I feel your love in my spirit,
    because I've been changed.
I used to indulge in worldly pleasures,
but you taught me to indulge in your word.
The times I cried in life were changed when you wiped away my tears.
    I am reconciled.

Superb job! You brought depth to something few can write about! Overall a mighty fine job with content and expression! My critique is the line before the end somehow left me feeling rushed or unfinished. I dunno why?

Great Poem! You took the words right of my mouth. We share the same story of many!

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
