    Redemption

Unsung song and old rhythm echo beats of those sharing the dream
Rhymes and lyrics cries out of lost hope from those who go unseen
Lost battles renewed with the legacy of those wishing to carry on
Hopes in their heart, redemtption and a need to right the wrongs
Limited to the option of failure, doubts cloud their unbelief
Finding lost dreams and the need to inspire hope is the only relief
Vision of the fathers and tears of mothers continuously soil our soul
A beautiful soliloquy,,,of innermost thoughts now frail and cold
Redemption, though unforseen awaits to comfort those hearts
Of those, already broken, bruised and scarred, scared of the dark
Those whose wrists and stomachs have failed them at will
Those whose pinch of last resort and deperation is a righteous kill
Unfettered whispers now balance the injustice of our sorrow
Time wait patiently and counters the unimaginable for tomorrow

I gave you a 10,but I would have gone higher if there were more feathers! This sang with sadness, despair, and a waiting for hope, for change. Lives that "live on the lips of insanity" Rumi wrote. This will go to my favorites with great pleasure!

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

    Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
