Regret

This is all that's left,
a terrible feeling
inside my chest.

Suddenly,
  I can hear the world...
It hates me.
Silence no longer
       has room to exists.
   Blatant of my regrets
are the screams that bleed,
    shattering any path
and forgetting all that is calm
    every passing second
I pretend nothing is wrong.
   Suddenly,
       the world loves me.
But there's nothing she can say
that would help me change my ways.
'Cause I still hear all the screams
that would never let me dream
or remember a single time
where there was love
inside my mind.
Although I try to not give up
to keep together the rest
of my heart.

This is all that's left,
a terrible feeling
inside my chest.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
