I know you’re hurting.
Our bodies collide, you tear my heart through my rib cage.
You broke me.
You made a home under my skin and I can’t get you out. Oh please let me in.
You came crawling out, straight from the factory you were made in.
Following in your father’s footsteps.
A monster that lurks in my dark room, I didn’t expect to see you like this in my nightmares, in the shadowy corners of the streets, wedged between my bed sheets.
It plays like a movie,
I can’t shut it off.
The static rings in my ears, the echo of your sweet heavy sighs.
Leave me for all i am,
Leave me for sweet dreams
I can’t shut it off.

I can’t shut it off.

very well written and can feel the emotion in this piece.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
