    Rock Bottom

    ROCK BOTTOM

    The cruelest of trickery

How dare my heart deceive me

How could I ever believe that HE returned to love me?

    Bloody tears my soul cries

As HE fills my head with lies

Has HE returned to finish with me? To watch me die?

HIS words cut like razors, HIS touch is so cold

HIS eyes look so empty, has HE lost his soul?

Nightmares’ of the worst kind stalk me at night

Treachery and torture are one of a kind

I’m so scared, so alone, I can’t breathe or think

    Lord please help me!

In a pit of misery I sink

    Emotional neglected, verbally abused

Used and forgotten, self esteem rotting

    He Won, I lost

    I hit Rock Bottom

wow this is a really good poem,,also would make a good song,,love it

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
