Saddest Day

Saddest Day

A game it was I wished to play.
Unplayed less painful I must say.
The rules are simple, there are no rules.
The game is evil, only played by fools.

The consequences were great indeed.
Who knew where the game would lead.
The pain to come, you could not foresee.
Maybe easier for some but not for me.

The game, my life, will change for now.
I will prevail above somehow.
I rise above who brings me down.
Inside I scream, you hear no sound.

My future may look grim today.
But tomorrow it will be ok.
I only wished for you to stay.
So say goodbye to the saddest day.

What a war you have going on inside. But you are right; tomorrow you will be ok, and the day after tomorrow you will be even better. Great Write honey. :) Kool

Thank you very much. Your comment is greatly appreciated. Moving on is all you can do, no matter how bad you don't want to. No matter what though, the loss of this person will have an effect on me for the rest of my life whether it is positive or negative. All I can hope to do is learn from my past experiences and capitalize on my mistakes in the future.

Poetry is what gets lost in translation.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
