    Sensing Our World

Wide expanses of water and air,
Patches of color here and there.
Over yonder where song birds fly,
Puppies and kittens are bounding high.

Roses and apples catch the eye,
    Butterflies softly land near by.
Blue and green, red and yellow,
    Bowls of wiggly, jiggly jello.

    White haired, bearded, happy fellow,
    Rocking and feeling almost mellow.
Barn swallows, ducks, and geese in flight,
This to me is a welcome sight.

    Daisies in sunlight dazzling bright,
Giving a sense that everything’s right.
A beautiful sunset, then evening light,
Long and dark is the moonless night.

Pictures a tranquil, peaceful scene. Well written. This author should keep on writing poems to perfect his/her style.

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
