    She

    She

There before me at dusk, as Sunset whispered Good Night...
I saw the Dawn of My Desire,
I had so long ago given wings to my thoughts of Her...
Yet in that moment I was stirred to reach out,
    In hopes of feeling…

She who trembles My Soul...She who Lightens My Nights...
She whom I Need so...She, the Dream that has
Haunted Me from Youth, and through the years...

Often I think of the seconds we’d spent just looking into each other’s eyes,
So many times I have drifted into the past days and nights with you...
Those moments are a Lifetime to Me.

I so wanted to Share the Happiness I felt...
Just being, was all I Needed...And here I sit...gazing at a lone Flower
Closing for the night, to sleep and to dream of the Sunrise...

A new Day of Hope...A renewed Awakening...
To again begin the Journey, following the
Sweet scent of Passion...Knowing You will be There,
Sadly, not within Reach, but Indeed Heart-Felt...

And now as the Stars wink in the Night Sky, and the
Cool Evening breeze tickles my Neck; I must leave You Now...
Not that I Want to...I would spend All-Nights in your Embrace,

But for now all I have of You are My Dreams,
And there I can find rest...there in your arms...
There by Your Side...There In Your Love...

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
