Sierra's Sonnet

Sierra's Sonnet

A summer wind blows her hair

A feeling of floating in the air

She looks at me with her green eyes

She shows the truth and hides no lies

My world is hers as hers is mine

I saw no premonition or sign

I cannot breathe or hope to speak

Of the love in which I seek

I need some time to gather thoughts

Maybe I love her or maybe not

I cannot describe my feelings inside

I have no pattern, no trail, no guide

As I lay here in bed

I think about all she said

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
