    Silvertongued devil

What happened to the meaning of words?

Where did our tongues go astray into an ashtray

And betray the signifigicance of true meaning.

I am appalled by the lies and the cries

Of  silvertongued devils who promise hope

And betray my trust with lyrical lust

I am saddened that a promise cannot be a bond

And that conversations that took place

Never existed and anger turns into disgust

Petty talk to soothe the situation

Now it’s a fight of legal arbitration

How I wish people could find the beauty of language

And use it to communicate as a force of good

Instead these dumbshits turn it around

And the whole god damned meaning is misunderstood

I yearn for my true masters of the written art

Who knew how to speak to me straight to the heart

Now it’s denial and name calling slang

And I am caught between ying and yang

Give me the strength to silence my tongue

For I fear I might sling right back at you

The Fucking shit you just slung

Watch your ,mouth and speak with eloquence

Silence is golden when there is possible consequence

Please give me strength to use my speech wisely

For words speak the truth if spoken with intent

And to me that is the beauty of words that are meant

Brilliant in its truth and linear thought path. This poem attack my ethereal sensibility And my visceral lobe. I love the first stanza, gets you totally in the mood for the prefect that is to come. Bravo Monique! Keep the thoughts coming and the mind sharp.

This work shows a maturity that is powerful and strong. It shows a poet who has been through the tranches and Lived to write about it. I like the pieces material context. You must have had or have a bitch of a time with whomever you are writing about. I love your words, please continue to post.

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
