For You
I sing to you of life and love,
of mending broken hearts,
and peaceful walks in the sun,
what will be for all of us.
Your kind heart
takes my breath away.
Your sweet words rest upon me
like a vision in the night.
Take my hand and walk this road
for surely we will need a friend
when darkness comes, the path obscured,
steep is the way to truth.
We cannot know the journey ahead
for this life is but a mystery
and what will be revealed in time
is none of our doing.
Sing to me of your hopes,
tell me of your fears.
I will listen and take refuge
in the love that is found.
Bring to me that which is sweet
and that which is bitter.
I will spin it all
into locks of gold
for you.
