Poem Commentary

This is a lallaby that I wrote when my twins were 3 weeks old. I sang this to my sons every night. They will be 21 on Aug.4th.I hope this will be past to my grandchildren.

Sleep Babies Sleep

Sleep babies sleep.
Sleep the whole night threw.
The angels are watching,
As I sing you this tune.

So hush my little darlings,
 Don't you cry.
Your daddy shall be
 Home so to sing a
Lallaby.

So sleep babies sleep
Sleep the whole night threw.
The angels are watching,
As I sing you this tune.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
