Poem Commentary

There comes a point in our life, when it seems that everything isn't going according to our plan. I know, I've been there. This poem is dedicated to everyone that is facing these kind of times. I hope everything goes well, and remember, always smile, until you give your last.

Smile

A smile,

Can mean a lot of things,

Often, a smile displays happiness or joy,

Sometimes, a smile is to hide immense sorrow and loneliness.

Behind every cheerful smile,

Is a hidden frown,

A hidden woe,

A tardigrade feeling penetrating the heart.

That perfect smile,

One that wipes all sorrow,

One that obliterates all negative emotions,

Brings forth sorrow, itself, to the person.

They say, a smile,

Shows the incapability of sorrow,

Yet, solitude envelopes me,

For the last time,

I give my last smile.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.
