So Many Things I Left Unspoken

With the knife at my throat the pain seems to subside
I scream out to you but our voices collide.

I try once more but my voice lay silent
This isn’t me I promise, only my mind becomes violent.

I tap on your shoulder you push me away
My voice seems to creep but no words I can say.

My heart becomes in tangled with devastation and lies
Tears of hatred pour from my eyes.

I bite my lip and my grip becomes tight
It seems I gave up with no end in sight.

I cut my throat I fall to my knees
This ground is so cold, end my life please.

My eyes finally shut my heart skips a beat
I’ll start a lonely walk on a never ending street.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
