    Poem Commentary

    THIS WAS WROTE WHEN MY SON WAS SENT TO IRAQ AND THE PAIN,THAT THEY WENT THROUGH FOR YOU  TO BE FREE. MY SON IS A HERO IN MY EYES.CHRISTOPHER LEE CANFIELD THANK YOU FOR YOUR SACRIFICES.

    SOLIERS CRY

     I AM A LONELY VETERAN
    THIS MESSAGE IS FOR YOU
    I SERVED MY COUNTRY LOYALY,
    IT HAD IT`S PRICE TO PAY
    I WATCHED THE SOLIERS GET WOUNDED
    AND SOME LOST THEIR LIVES
    BUT TO HAVE OUR FREEDOM,
    THEY SAID WE HAD TO FIGHT
    I HELD MY HEAD UP PROUDLY,
    AS THEY SENT ME OFF TO WAR
    WHEN I RETURNED HOME
    THE NIGHTMARES START TO SOAR
    THE PAIN AND THE MISARY,
    WE HAD TO SACRIFICE
    I HEARD THE SCREAMING SOLDIERS,
    FROM DUSK TILL MORNING LIGHT
    I HOPE YOU WILL REMEMBER,
    HOW WE FOUGHT SO BRAVE AND TRUE
    AND DON`T FORGET THE ONES,
    THAT DIED FOR ME AND YOU

    Thanks, my son is disabled after iraq and is only 29. i have much respect for our troops. God Bless

    I guess you meant to say made real. Thank you. I am very proud of my son and for him to serve our country, it is a proud moment.

    Awsome!After reading this poem I would like too share with you my yesterdays when my husband went to WAR in a forign country of Viet Nam.The battle that rages is still in his life after living and marring my husband of 48 years now we have been with each other! He finally gave his heart to our Lord and savior Jesus Christ Palm Sunday 1999 allmost 10 years now .
