Poem Commentary

Just a couple of random Haiku about jello. Oh, how I love the jiggly! Each Haiku follows the 5-7-5 format.

Some Haiku about Jello

Like jiggly gay pride.
It's playfully edible,
A rainbow of fun.

Pineapple bits in
Suspended animation,
Oh, how I love thee.

A hot summer day
And a bowl of jiggly goop.
Ah, relaxation.

Thanksgiving table,
Jello completes the array.
I am in Utah.

A bowl of green goo,
Balanced to fall on my head.
I am not amused.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
