Song to a Friend

You.
The most magical word I could put in this poem.
3 letters may mean nought to some but to me it means
You
and your lurking smile that leaps into view, a hummingbird,
dancing among the blossoming joy that blooms in your soul.
You
and your laughter, like blowing bubbles on the back porch
it floats up and up, shimmering in the perfect bliss that is
You
are a world, dappled with sunlight, an endless blue sky
I get that sense of awe as I look up at
You
because you are my friend, the best, brightest, most beautious friend
a girl could ever have. I love
You
