    Poem Commentary

    When I write poetry it helps me deal with whatever I go through and this poem was written when I was going through some things with a girl that I was really close to. The poem is entitled Soul Mate because I think and have heard that when you find your soul mate you have a bond beyond just physical attraction.

    Soul Mate
    Everyday that passes
    I look for you
    Every night that passes
    I dream of you
    Every moment that passes
    I think of you
    Time away from you stings my heart
    looking at the stars distraught
    makes me wonder if your looking at them
    in pain or with joy in your heart
    I long for you to rescue me
    take me from the darkness into the light
    In a world of evil you are my light
    we are a pair
    matched by the big man upstairs
    I search but am slowly giving up
    I need a sign or some sort of hope
    to help me find you so you can save my heart.

    NIcely done. Dudes aren't supposed to show feelings. Sometimes it can not be helped. Most of what I write is dark and death but I do have some 'sappy' stuff that I'll post soon. Good job!

    Nice write Paul..... Don't give up He ( as you put it the man upstairs) wants you to push on and both of you find eachother... not for just you but for the both of you... as badly as you think you need her she needs you,.... best of wishes.... red

    It is just how I feel with my partner by faith, when you are both ready then God will let u meet just as perfect as u, just keep on doing well taking care of yourself, finish school, get a well successful job for who ever she is then get a successful job. Please check out my 1st attempt on doing a Sonnet poem, thank you & don't u worry just work hard & have faith, He will help, just talk to Him, he's always listening. The answer to your question will sooner or later be answered, He hears u even before u ask because He knows & can see u.

    Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
