Poem Commentary

Another one about her.

Speaking Life

I don't care to make beautiful things,
they won't please her eyes.
I don't care to try my hardest,
she'll only want what I did not give.
I'm tired of being here,
she makes me feel I'll never be good enough,
and it just so happens i trust her.

Will I ever be enough?
Ever give enough?
What she doesn't realize,
could kill me.

What she doesn't see,
is the very essence of me.

If she cares,
I wish she didn't,
because her caring is hurting me.

Speak life mothers.
Your daughters are hearing death.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
