Poem Commentary

This poem describes the wandering spirit. It specifies trouble in its beginning, and unfolds into "infinite splendor." This poem was inspired, as I reflected on trouble from the past, and begin to see a light manifest through darkness. In its conclusion, I "surrender," for us all.

"Spiritual Highlights"

Creation’s maze
day of birth-dazed
shadow of pain rages
the Book of Life turns pages
Spiritual divinity
mirrored epiphany
freedom sublime
Goddess entwined
Blessed occasions
enlightening liaisons
shine as the sun beams
lightning of dark dreams
Help for the helpless
Hope of the captive
Joy of happiness
Graciously endless
Eternal sunshine
infinite splendor
Creator of Time
we wholly surrender...

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
