State of Mind Sleep

State of Mind Sleep

As the time passes
And night goes by
Sleep tugs at the
Edges of the mind.

Time seems to slow
A lethargic view of
Everything surrounding you
To slow for you to react.

Perception shifts into
An unreal state of
Confusion which is leading
To uneven chaos.

Senses fade into
Darkness of an abyss
Until all is dark as
A complete void.

Mind at peace
A complete calm
Absent of thought
A blank slate for something new.

Connections form
Memories combine with
Abstract ideas shifting
In intricate paths.

Dreams fade into
Reality becomes a
Virtual world of the
Mind for one purpose.

Giving the brain
A way to connect
Unknown variables
Causing emotions.

Sometimes an unrest
Like sadness and
Anger but more then
Likely a sense of fear.

Preferable to unrest
Is the calm and
Possible enjoyment
For an infinite time

In less then a second.

A complicated subject, our dreams and understanding and interpreting them. The sub-conscience trying to express itself.

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
