    Strength of a Christian's Faith

    To condemn us to freedom
    To condemn us to hate
To condemn us to war and condemn us to fate
    To fight for our peace
    To fight for our justice
To fight for equality by lending our voices
    To protect us from crime
    To protect us from fear
To protect from discrimination which still stands too near
    To pray for your innocence
    To pray for your guidance
To forgive the world's sin by praying in alliance
    Though resistence is not futile
    Our outcome is flawed
But our faith is too strong, too strong to fall

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
