    Such a Beautiful Death

    So sullen your voice finds me;
    Like a beautiful day that never was
    Like it was there for someone, but just not for me
    Like it was a girl you see from a foggy window and think
    for a moment she sees you
    Looking, longing, then poof; she's gone
    With no thought of me passing in her mind and no
    knowledge of what it is that I am....
    Just a ghost.
    Just a heart, just a man;
    A beautiful death of heart that never was
    It makes my heart ache until I want to rip it out
    But such action would make it all meaningless....
    More meaningless than you make me feel from my window......
    Just a heart, just a man, such a beautiful death……...

    Interesting that you used "poof" in your poem. That line was amusing even though you are talking of death. Good poem.

    When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
