    Suffering

    I suffer you…
Miss you to eternity when you are gone…
    Love you through infinity…

You have become the air in my lungs,
Your touch pouring heat into my skin,
As you fall into my body like water,
    Weightless and insistent…

    I suffer you…
Miss you to eternity when you are gone…
    Love you through infinity…

Your very pulse a sweet torture to my own,
    A song without rhythm,
    Incomplete in your absence,
    My torturous existence without you…

    I suffer for you…
Missing you to eternity when you are gone…
    Loving you through infinity…

If I whisper your name across the darkness, will your body feel it?
    Do you suffer me?

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
