SURRENDER

Last night I got on my knees and refused to fight.
I surrendered to God, and gave Him my life.
I gave up, and I'm not ashamed.
I cried like a baby, calling my Savior's name.
Change me, please, take it away.......
I've lived in sin all my life and it hurts everyday.
My heart is now Yours to have.
I'm tired of lying and always being bad!
I've4 hurt since I was six, the pain so deep.
This is my plea, take it away from me.
I'm now Your tool to use as You please.
I now believe Your Son had to die for me.
I close my eyes and end this night,
I sleep in peace with a new born light.
Amen

A wonderfully arranged piece! The plead is felt throughout the entire poem. I love the way that you surrender and accept that we are nothing without him that restores the broken soul! Great Job! Simply beautiful!

Thank you for the comment........ I fell from that grace since, but have found my place in life. Romans 12 explains that we all have a JOB to do!!!!! So with God I will be a great leader one day!!!!!

Very personal and beautiful. It was nice to hear the plea to be saved.

Thank you..... I hope that everyone who reads it gets just a small piece of what I felt that night. Maybe it will lead to God and his sweet Grace....

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
