Dive into the sea, hold your breath, the cold burn to rush through and drown the lungs. The shock freezes the motion of thought to physical plane to save from the division of soul to form. Shock gone, grab for light which is all around in prison of bubbles and foam, prisms of light confusing the mind and vertigo, keeping from the treasure the thief lungs covet at all times. Circles ran, resistance softens, water becomes welcome. The rush in surprises in taste of salt and organism filling only what air should only reside. What treason this is. Muscles fight and jerk to expel, yet does no matter for the vacuum of airless space keeps the devil. The true touch of cold spreads, dimming sight, touch, taste and sound. Soon the foreign resident is welcome, body sways with current, mind running dull in exhaust of its once true friend.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
