    Taylor's Story:

This is a story bout a boy called Taylor,
Kicked out of school cos of his terrible behaviour,
His mates and his teachers had him down as a failure,
Contantly with bruises they thought ricky hatton was his saviour

But Taylor had been out more often lately,
Word on road was that he liked Katie,
When ever people asked him he said 'Na shes a matey'
Little did they know he wanted Katie as his wifey

On Taylors estate yeah, he was the daddy,
To all of the youngers they was like 'Taylors so made he...'
'Got in a massive tool on tool fight with Bradley-'
'And from I hear he got fucked up badly'

Then one day they saw Katie minus Taylor, she was crying,
On the steps outside the block she was shaking and sighing,
They said 'What is going on?' she said 'Taylor's dying'
His dad threw him down the stairs and Taylor went flying

So the boys they went to hospital, some on buses some on peds,
And went to the reception, where they were quietly lead,
To the black and blue body with the name Taylor on the bed,
Bust legs, bust hands, bust ribs, bust head

It soon dawned on the boys that this wernt from fighting
But their poor mate Taylor had been gettin beaten up nightly
By his old man who was all tall and mighty,
Which was how he got all those black eyes, unsightly

Then in a moment that would change their friendship forever,
Nomatter what age, what colour, what gender,
Katie and the boys all stood around Taylor,
And they all started talking and crying together

After all the drama and after Taylor had been mothered,
Katie helped him find a new place and he discovered,
That he was free of keeping secrets now- and he could love her
And although the boys they took the piss they were still his brothers

Taylors power trippin father can't hurt him anymore,
Cos now he's doing 3 years of his life behind a cell door,
And funnily enough he now has a broken jaw,
what goes around it comes around and now he's KO'd on the floor

Interesting short story you should keep writing more. I like how it ended, you are right what goes around eventually does come back and bit you.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
