Thank Thee O Lord

Thank Thee O Lord

Thank Thee O Lord for the air I breathe in,
For each breath I take this day.
Thank Thee O Lord if I do not sin,
Or hurt my brethren in any way.

Thank thee O Lord for each breath I take
That provides my being with life.
Thank thee O Lord for the choices I make
That keeps me and mine from strife.

Thank thee O Lord for my sin covering eye,
It keeps me from being judgemental.
Thank thee O Lord for letting me cry,
For treating me kindly and gentle.

Thank thee O Lord for giving me strength
Whenever the going gets tough.
Thank thee O Lord, I will go to great length,
To get me through the rough.

Thank Thee O Lord for the place I live in,
It provides me with warmth and love.
Thank Thee O Lord for all I've been given,
I know that it comes from above.

Thank Thee O Lord for the children I've born,
And the children they've given to me.
Thank Thee O Lord from night until morn,
For who they've grown up to be.

Inspiring. I can see this put to lyrics.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
