    The Day Has Come

Nobody knows the way I feel, Nothing anymore seems to be real, The sparkle in my eye is gone, And OH!, I feel so all alone, How did I let our love fall through? What changed our happiness to blue? I wrote this poem today, Words that weren't easy to say, Those two hurtful words,"good-bye" Still brings tears to my eyes, But, someone else will surely come your way, So there's no legitament reason why I should stay, The sky turned grey with dispair, No one said love is fair, I don't want to play silly games, This girl isn't the same, Why does love make you this way? Choosing the wrong love ,you will pay, So very confused is my mind, Memories only to remind, Me, of a love I could not give,Of a life with you I'll never live, I still hope for that one day to come,When we both will find that 'special someone".

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
