The Day You Were Called Away

    When you were only thirteen
    you were called away,
    called up to Heaven,
    on one winters' day!
    Your life was lived short,
    you were much too young!
    God must have thought
    you had served your purpose,
Life on this earth should be done!
Each time I think of that fire,
    I get a cold chill!
I think of how alone you must have felt,
    very high upon that hill!
    Deep within your grave,
    you lie ,sound asleep.
The tears we all still cry,
the memories we all still keep.
    I know someday
    we shall meet again;
    but,until that day gets here,
    the memories are within.
This is wherethey will all remain!
    We still love you sister!

i can never imagine the pain you had felt, but by reading your poem i know my own body felt the coldness and chills of what took place. i know the pain of when you loose someone close, but to loose a brother or sister, that pain to me is deeper then loosing your father or mother. You are strong and you do have a passion for writing. Thank for sharing this. Thank you for sharing your life and feelings with me as well.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
