    The Girl

As he slowly turned into the parking lot
    he saw her.
She was sitting on the bench
    waiting for her bus.
She had very short, brown hair.
She was wearing a grey t-shirt
under a brown and blue plaid flannel shirt.
The flannel shirt was barely short enough
to show the beige shorts peeking out underneath.
She was also wearing white socks and tennis shoes.

She was listening to a radio with headphones
    while she read her book.
But she looked up as the car passed.
    She met his gaze
with a look of infinite sadness in her eyes.

He briefly wondered what had happened to this girl
to cause her such grief and pain.

He forgot about her by the time he parked his car.

Nice descriptions...I could see it, I like a poem to materialize for me.

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
