The Lonely Cry

The Lonely Cry

Time waits for no one

So don’t let it pass you by

That’s what happened to me

Hence, the lonely cry.

Pain does really hurt

Like dirt in your eye.

Acid tears roll down my face

Hence, the lonely cry.

Death is the dagger to the chest.

How I need him by my side.

He’s no longer a part of this world

Hence, the lonely cry.

They always try to comfort me,

Not as easy as a bird would fly.

Mourning, grieving, always wishing

Hence, the lonely cry.

His love knew all but hate,

In fact it wouldn’t even try.

It’s the very thing I miss the most

Hence, the lone cry.

Wonder if I see him again,

If the afterlife was a lie?

Guess I’ll soon find out

Because of my Lonely Cry.
