The Overcomer

Moving to a new chapter of my life, the tugging this way and that is such a fight. I've always wanted to believe that all doors were open to me, tho as I get older the less and less I see. What is it about maturity that instills more fear? What is it about growing that makes a person close there ears? I used to feel so free, I used to feel so wild, I had so many dreams torn up by being a child. Why is it that mankind wants you beaten down? Why is it that everyone wears a fake smile and a real frown? Goal Gobblers everywhere I go, don't express what you think you can do, they will think you're stupid and some will let you know. You can't have that! You can't do that! The answers No, the answers no! But, I wont let you steal my confidents! Your right, no. No you cant have my ambition. I refuse to give you my positive attitude. That enthusiasm belongs to me. This opportunity is mine. I choose to keep my self image and all the doors that come with it.... all open.
