Poem Commentary

Very much a true story!!!  And to think, I was not only blessed with an Angel... But my very own Hero as well!!

THE POWER OF PRAYER

A baby for me, doctors say will never be.

A baby for me, if only I believe!

A baby for me?  In my prayers I would ask.

Send a bundle to me and in my love he will bask.
I know that God has a plan for me.

A baby for me, if only I believe.

God has his reasons, this I must respect.

No baby for me, I have to accept.

Still every night I pray, for in my heart something was missin...

So He sent me an Angel,

We call him Delstin!

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
