The "Friend" Guy
If I were to tell you now, exactly how I feel.Would your reaction be a put on, or would it be real?
Would you tell me that you understand these feelings deep inside?
And if you did say that to me, would it be a lie?
Would you talk to me slowly, as not to break my fragile heart?
Or would you be blunt and honest, and rip my world apart?
The last thing I want is to lose you from my life!
However I don't want you to view my confession as unimportant or trife.
I find it hard to find the statement to express how I feel for you.
Because "those three words" just seem so redundant and overused
So I'll hide these feelings deep inside, and be a true friend.
I can't say that I'll stop feeling this, but I promise to pretend...
