    Poem Commentary

As a person who has been personally touched by God's love and have experienced first hand His amazing grace, this is the least I can do to acknowledge that He exists and He is alive in me.

    The Shining Star

Up in the heavens, a star glowed, intense in its brightness.
In the fields, bewildered shepherds encountered strange beings.
Somewhere in the east, three men put aside their daily business
and quickly followed the shining star, like birds on wings.

In the heavens, the beautiful voices of angels rang,
heralding the arrival of a King, a boy child,
spreading the word to all as sweet songs they sang.
And up in heaven, God looked down upon earth and smiled.

A child in a manger the three men found.
With all their wisdom they believed beyond any doubt
that this was the Promised One, and the world He would astound,
healing the lame, raising the dead, tasking the devout
and, above all, making the world a better place all round.
