The Sun was left to be Alone

Always going out for a breath of air

Catching what’s left of my Heart

    In a view

    With the Sun

    And the thought of you

    What have I done

    To end up this way

    Without you

    I’m not giving up

    I’m living on

    You touched me so

It’s one heck of a life

    I’ve lived so far

    You’ve taught me much

    We shared feelings

    Each other’s touch

    What I’ll miss most

    Is your attention

    Thank you for everything

    Much Love

    From my Heart

    A return

    Back to this world within

    The Sun sets, yet again

    Over a Heart left alone

This is what I know of Life

Damn. This is the fourth poem in a row and I can't stop reading and my eyes developed a leak somehow. Your words instill such sadness, chilling me to the soul, yet you manage to bring back a touch of warm as you accept your fate and the tragedy is just barely averted. Wonderful. You are a powerful wordsmith.

I love this poem it is one of my favorites!!! You're an awesome writer

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
