The Touch

The Touch

The night is hot and the air so still

As you touch me I can feel

The air of your breath so hot on my neck

As you run your fingers down my back

My skin is warm to your touch

Your face is so near

I long for so much

Just that look in your eyes

I become hypnotized

Your hand sliding down my thigh

As you bring me close to your side

My heart is pounding very fast

As you bring me closer

How long can I last

I guied your hand

The place it should be

A silent submission

Of my crave for yours to be

Erotic dance as the time does pass

The heart is racing so very fast

My body is craving for something more

As you ease me down to the floor

I shed my fears faster than the tears

The anticipation of all these years

As we unfold what we have been longing for

Too become one as never before.

Your touch so sweet

So tender and true

The note you left said I Love You.

A beautifully written work of art! Light erotic tones conveyed with class! There could've been no better ending! Fine writing! SBear

Hurray! for the subject matter - you can't go wrong with that - but it can be expressed in as many bad ways as reflect the human condition. Thankfully you brought this forth with the joy of mutual loving as it was meant to be. Why do we always end up on the floor?:-) -re: The Dance by me.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
