    THE VEIL

    THE VEIL

    Beauty of undescribable quality,
    Ugliness of scary nature,
    A sweet sonorous voice,
A husky voice with metallic tinge

    The veil hide’s it all,
    Takes away identity,
    Gives undue glory,
    Unleashes stain on all

The veil is not the sac with a net,
It is that sweet deceptful face,
The lying voice that cloud reasoning,
The blanket called race, tribe that form our identity,

Imagine, a world devoid of veils,
A naked world where we pass for whom we are,
A place where wolf will not fit into sheep’s clothing,
A place where people see us first as individuals,

    However, the veil remains.
    Almost everything in disguise,
As a community, they see us,
As we continue to imagine and wonder

Really nice- just remember that race also gives beautiful diversity. . . unfortunately some people don't see it that way but- I love it- I love looking at different skin colors and how beautiful each is. I really like this though- nice imagery with

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
