    Things

    I am distracted by things,
like white fluffy clouds in a blue sky,
Or by the way a bird sings,
I am amazed by the simplicity of things,
    Like chimes fastened by strings,

A child smiling on a swing,
And watching the joy and happiness it brings

Isn't life wonderful! And the beauty of life can be very distracting!

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
