    This Flower

    This Flower by: Keyana Hawthorne

This flower shall bloom in spite of the weeds.
This flower shall bloom because that is its destiny.
This flower shall burst forth, as soon as the sun gives its light.
Its petals shall unfold and they will be beautiful in everyone’s sight.

    The soil shall stay fertilized.
The clouds shall continue to produce rain.
When the sun does not shine.
Nutrients this flower still will gain.

This flower will produce a scent that all man will come to crave.
Its petals will be precious and gathered by many to be saved.

This flower will bloom in spite of drought.
This flower shall burst forth, no need to doubt.
For the soil is fertilized and its seeds are ripe.
    For this is its destiny.
    This flower shall have life.
