THIS OLD HEART OF MINE

When my heart speaks I tend to listen to what it has to say,
At times it leads me to peace but at times it leads me astray

This Old Heart of Mine doesn't see no wrong it trusts all that it see,
That has to be the Love of God that dwells within me.

I try to build a wall to protect this old Heart of Mine, but how tall must it stand, And it has to be strong enough to repel any of my enemies plans

This Old Heart of Mine has been brpoken so many times but it mends itself and moves on, Still trusting everyone and everything, Still seeing no wrong

I like to fill this Old Heart of Mine with Peace, Joy and Love, I try so hard to keep it filled with the beautiful things life is made of

I'm a simple man and all things get better with time,
I can live a life thats worth living because of THIS OLD HEART OF MINE.

I CAN RELATE. IT'S A BATTLE. I DON'T KNOW HOW ELSE TO BE. TRUSTING MY HEART IS TRUSTING THE LOVE IN ME. WHETHER IT IS PAIN OR JOY IT LETS ME KNOW I'M ALIVE. A HEART FULL OF LOVE CAN BREAK BUT ITS SHATTER PROOF. NICE POEM. IT MAKES ME FEEL.

Great words, through the middle you can get better flow,,,, take another look at it,, you have amazing talent

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
