Thoughts of You
I will never forget what it meant to me,
When you first said, “We were meant to be”.
I would give you a penny for your thoughts,
Even though I know that they can not be bought.
I love you more with every breath that I take,
You are sweet, just like a piece of cake.
Trust is the one thing that I need,
If it was a necklace, it would be the biggest bead.
Thoughts of you fill up my mind, like waves upon the shore.
The sunny days and starry nights remind me of you more.
I treasure the time that we spend together,
That it seems as if the days just fly by.
Always hold onto our memories,
But build our future with our dreams.
