Poem Commentary

I wrote this, when my husband got fired from his job.

Throw Something Else At Me!

Throw SomeThing Else At Me!Maybe i'll take it.Throw something else at me!Maybe i'll fall.Throw something else at me!Maybe i'll make it.Throw something else at me!Maybe i'll stand tall.Throw something else at me!Maybe i'll cry.Throw something else at me!Maybe i'll run.Throw something else at me!Maybe i'll ask why?Throw something else at me!Maybe i'll be human.Throw something else at me!It might just make me stronger!Throw something else at me! I don't know, maybe, just maybe.I might not feel anything at all.

What is it they say...." what doesn't kill you will make you stronger "...I think at times we forget just how strong we really are...but its when the chips are down that it finally hits you and you realize....I CAN DO THIS....loved the message...Cher

Sometimes it feels like you're getting hit from all directions. But when you come through it, you realize how much stronger you are. Very original technique!

I like the repetition of the phrase, "throw somethin' else at me". It adds strength & I like your message, but the poem would be better if you'd have stuck with your rhyming scheme... still, I'll go for 10

I like this, sort of reminds me of the old saying what doesn't kill you will only make you stronger. Only one criticism, please make the fonts larger, hard on old eyes to read. 10 from me.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
