    Time and Unforeseen Occurrences

    it's too late now
gone beyond the point of no return
no matter what is said or done
it will not be erased, forgotten or used as crutches

    it's too late now
to try and change the meanings or
    the definitions between the words
to suddenly act brand new and unopened

    it's too late now
to wear the sweater of embarrassment like a shield
to stand for thoughts, ideas till shrapnel flies and cowardly fall back
to casually brush off self-pity once focus is regained

    it's too late now
to contemplate severing ties out of fear
to wish away the feelings, hostage in a glass locker
desperately dismissing, knowing the unknown is what you want to navigate, charter
